Las Américas Resort y Centro de Convenciones is a main sponsor of the Proboquilla Foundation, which is focused on improving the quality of life of the residents of La Boquilla, a charming town of fishermen and humble farmworkers, through programs aimed at health and economic, environmental, educational and cultural development. It also seeks to implement new technologies as tools for local development.

Part of our hotel’s mission is to help employees discover their own talents and seek the position within the resort which best suits them, in order for them to enjoy their jobs.  We also provide them with tools to become independent if they wish to do so. The hotel is like a university where all employees learn to be independent.

Las Américas Resort y Centro de Convenciones is committed to the environment through educational programs for employees and surrounding communities. The objective is to minimize the negative environmental impact of urban development while raising awareness, respect and environmental responsibility. The conservation of natural resources such as water and electricity is one of the pioneer initiatives of this tourist center located between two ecological sites: The Ciénaga de la Virgen and the Caribbean Sea.
